Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the operational and strategic aspects of the company's global payroll function to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
Develop, implement, and modify payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with the company's standards and objectives, and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Legal, and IT teams to ensure seamless payroll integration and compliance with changing labor laws, tax regulations, and corporate policies.
Manage payroll vendor relationships and ensure service level agreements are met.
Manage the payroll budget, ensure cost-effectiveness, and implement payroll best practices.
Provide guidance and leadership to the payroll team, develop their skills and knowledge, and ensure the team's continuous professional growth.
Work closely with payroll vendors and service providers to ensure reliable service and build strategic relationships.
Respond to escalated payroll-related issues and queries in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure confidentiality and secure processing of sensitive employee data.
Provide expertise and guidance on payroll-related matters.
Continuously assess and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Implement automation solutions where possible to streamline workflows and reduce manual errors.
Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Respond to employee inquiries related to payroll issues promptly and professionally.
Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field; additional certifications in payroll or related areas are a plus.
Proven experience as a Director of Payroll, preferably within a global organization.
Deep knowledge of multi-country payroll processing, tax regulations, and withholding procedures.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
High proficiency in payroll software and related technologies. UKG/Immedis Preferred.
