GLOTECH, Inc. is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support the corporate office of United Parks & Resorts, located in Orlando, Florida. This position is responsible for planning, leading, organizing and motivating our agile and/or waterfall project teams to achieve a high level of performance. The overall goal is to deliver exciting projects on time and in budget. The Project Manager is able to manage several concurrent high visibility projects in a fast-paced environment that may cross multiple business units. This position will also engage with multiple vendors and require strong organizational skills.Responsible for the full lifecycle of the project from planning to closureBuild a collaborative team environment that fosters creativity, innovation and transparencyManage customer expectations for project deliverables, stakeholder communications, and ensure an effective execution of project governanceManage resource planning, project plan, budget, issues, risk and overall communicationManage scope to budget and work with product owners to prioritize enhancementsBuild project Work Breakdown Structures and determine level of effort for each taskProvide a project schedule accurately estimating time and resources required to complete the projectManage the project budget - meet financial objectives by forecasting; preparing a budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actionsAvoid risk by analyzing data, anticipating, identifying and mitigating risk factors; act quickly to determine problems and make decisions to solve themCreate cutover plans and facilitate go live eventsFacilitate scrum events including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives including tracking actions to closureAssist development/Business Analysts to refine product functionality and product backlog user storiesHelp to negotiate 3rd party SOW and manage external vendor deliverablesOrganize and communicate information to key stakeholders; provide weekly status reports, and communicate milestone progressCollaborate with other Project Managers to follow PMO best practices and share experiences/expertiseEnsure all project documentation is stored on the project siteFollow compliance (SOX, PCI, PII) and security regulatory policies and standardsQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field; or equivalent 6+ years of progressive responsibility in Technology roles focused on contributions to project deliverablesSolid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as strong knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environmentPrior experience with managing, tracking and monitoring several projects at a timeCareer focus on application implementations over infrastructureFamiliar with project management/SCRUM tools and software (IE: Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, Kanban boards)Demonstrated leadership (non-manager) and ability to influence others to performSelf-motivated team player with positive attitude working in a team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills and problem solvingExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse personalitiesTravel may be requiredMust be available to work onsite in Orlando, FL as neededPreferred Experience:2+ years' experience as a Scrum MasterPMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent preferredWorking knowledge of general mobile technologies, architecture and trendsPrevious Theme Park or Hospitality Industry experience a plus!GLOTECH, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer - Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities.
