The primary duties of the Highway Roadway EIT/Coordinator include working in a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural roadway projects. More specific duties include: roadway geometrics, drainage, development of plans, construction estimates, subsurface utility engineering, and coordination of utilities. Other responsibilities will include providing assistance with the creation and submission of technical reports, specifications, and calculations. Proficiency with ArcGIS, OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D and/or Geopak roadway design software is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificateCandidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progressionGood team player with great communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Minimum 1 year doing highway and roadway design preferredPreference given to local candidates
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degreeProficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3DAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
