In our global community of people from 100+ countries, we listen to each other, actively contribute, and grow together.Join us in our exciting quest to build the future home.All about the role:As the North America Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for our Network area, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape and implement cutting-edge network solutions across the region, all while aligning with Electrolux's globally approved network standards.As an authority in network technology, you will lead the evaluation and testing of new technologies, manage and coordinate complex changes to network infrastructure, and handle tier 2-3 incidents or problems. Your expertise will be instrumental in creating comprehensive documentation to streamline incident management and ensure the efficient delivery of network solutions across diverse regions and locations.You'll play a key role in identifying where technical innovations can enhance business performance, consulting across various business operations, and providing mentorship to teams. Leveraging your specialized network knowledge, you'll recommend advanced technical solutions and define network requirements to drive optimal performance.Additionally, you will engage with vendor solutions, overseeing both High-Level and Low-Level design documents to finalize network architecture.This role includes 24x7 support with an on-call rotation, although minimal calls are anticipated during these periods. It's a dynamic position that combines technical leadership with operational excellence, ensuring seamless network performance at a global scale.What you'll do:Work with the network architectural function to support strategy and finalize low-level design.Prepare technical articles to be used in the operational area.Keep informed of developments in network technologies and infrastructure.Provide technical guidelines for the network environment (WAN, WLAN, and LAN) and other TCP/IP network protocols (Firewall, proxy, SMTP, DNS, DHCP, Ethernet).Ensure information security and security protocols (SSL/TLS, SFTP, VPN, 802.1X, SAML, RADIUS, LDAP, VLAN, Multifactor Authentication).Assure correct sizing, implementation, configuration, and monitoring of the network infrastructure.Work closely with the internal Electrolux network team or third-party supplier on the implementation of new infrastructure/services or on the enhancement of the existing one.Support infrastructure installations, ensuring compliance with group and IT standards and ensuring compatibility and consistency across the global infrastructures.Support non-network projects by ensuring that the underlying network infrastructure can support new projects (upgrades, changes, etc.).Support both operations and business staff for problem resolution and new implementations.Collaborate with stakeholders to define service level agreements (SLAs), key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics to measure and monitor service delivery effectiveness, both internally and with suppliers.Qualifications required:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.Certified CompTIA or Cisco (CCNA mandatory or CCNP) Routing and Switching.A minimum of 4-6 years' experience as a network specialist (SME).Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies (e.g., MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN over internet), protocols (e.g., IP, BGP, OSPF, GRE, IPSEC), and security (e.g., DMZ implementation, Multifactor/AAA/ISE authentication).Preferred experience in network cloud computing (MS Azure).Proven experience with Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Juniper, and Bluecoat hardware and software.Availability to work out of business hours (e.g., on-call support or planned activity).Where you'll be:This position will be based at our corporate North American headquarters in Charlotte, NC.Benefits highlights:Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Competitive holiday and vacation time off program.Retirement Savings Plan (401(k)) with relevant company contribution.Discounted products and an EAP upon hire and tuition reimbursement after 12 months of service.As part of Electrolux, we will continuously invest in you and your development.
