Program Description:
The purpose of this project is to provide document(s)/file(s) conversion of historical media archives and recently received document(s)/file(s) (variety of different paper Tax Documents (Forms and Schedules) and Correspondence) into a digital computer-readable format for the IRS. The project will receive, control, and convert source materials to standardized, indexed, and searchable Portable Document Format (PDF) (PDF Image plus Text) electronic documents for an estimated 57 million images.Position Description:
This Systems Administrator position is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting IT infrastructure and systems for a document scanning operation. This role ensures the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information systems that support core organizational functions.Responsibilities:System Maintenance:
Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software, and hardware for laptops and servers.System Management:
Monitor and manage database infrastructure including servers and network storage.Network Management:
Monitor and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.Security:
Implement and maintain security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats. Perform audits in accordance with SES ISO27001 standards.Scanner Maintenance:
Assist with joggers, database maintenance, clearing jams, and coordinating vendor support.Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.Backup and Recovery:
Develop and manage backup and recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability.User Support:
Provide technical support and training to end-users, addressing their IT-related needs and issues.Documentation:
Log and close all technical incidents. Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes.Years of Experience:
3+ years of experienceEducation Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalentRequired Skills:Must be at least 18 years of age.Able to maintain confidential information.Successfully pass and maintain acceptable background checks and security clearances.Proven systems administration experience.Field experience supporting end-users with infrastructure and peripherals (Servers, Laptops, Scanners, Barcode Readers, Printers).Experience with Microsoft Intune and Entra ID.Experience performing relational database server maintenance, performing queries, and quiescing workloads, preferably using Microsoft SQL Server.Using PowerShell, loading modules, and generating basic reports.Experience with C# a plus, but not required.SES provides a competitive salary and the following benefits:MedicalDentalVisionAD&DSTDLTDCompany paid Life Insurance401k with employer contributionPaid Time OffPet Insurance
