Project Manager

will provide overall leadership direction to a project; including the management of project quality, timeliness, safety, as well as mentoring the project team. Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.The base compensation range for this role is $125,000 - $188,000 (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%). This position is eligible for a potential annual bonus.Traveling PM RoleLocations: AZ, TX, CA, OK, Midwest, COResponsibilities:Organization, flexibility, outstanding customer focus and strong communication are critical in performing duties which include, but are not limited to:Manage the overall financial health of projects, including subcontracts and suppliersDevelop and maintain project financial projections and equipment projectionsDetermine and allocate project estimate into financial systemIdentify cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisionsProvide financials and billings to Accounting for timely paymentCreate monthly owner billingsMaintain budget for and make selections of trade partners and suppliersHandle billings and contract management, including contract buyoutsLead Assistant Project Manager(s) and Project Engineer(s)Provide job assignments and manage career developmentApprove timecards for on-site team membersProvide ongoing feedback of work performanceFunction as the main point of contact with the owner and on-site representativeAssist with the review of the owner agreementResolve site concerns for the owner or representativeProvide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunitiesManage change ordersDetermine when to submit to the owner or on-site representativeObtain the customer/architect's approvalEffectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels.Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage performance.Qualifications:Minimum six years of related previous experienceProven ability to assist with all responsibilities for complex projectsDetail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesPreference for candidates with experience in one or more of the following: commercial construction, renewable energy project development, EPC contracting, or emerging technologies.Microsoft Office, project and pertinent web application skills at an intermediate levelProven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skillsAbility to interpret and communicate Mortenson policiesCurrent driver's licenseBachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent experienceMinimum seven years of construction management or related experience with large projects ($20M+)Benefits:Medical and prescription drug plans - choice between two affordable HSA-eligible medical plans that include vision coverage, expert medical second opinion, tobacco cessation program and fertility benefitsDental plan401k retirement plan with generous matching and profit-sharing contributionsPaid time off, holidays, bereavement, parental leave, and other paid leavesLife, AD&D, business travel accident and disability insuranceEmployee assistance program and online mental health tool and conciergeTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramIdentity Theft ProtectionMortenson is an EOE/Affirmative Action/M/F/Veteran/Disabled employer.Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.** No Agency emails, calls or solicitations accepted **#LI-AH1
