Growing together.In this key leadership role, you will oversee the development and execution of service delivery commitments to continuously drive cost performance, productivity and profitable growth. Effectively oversee Revenue Cycle Services day-to-day operations servicing our Hospital clients.You will be accountable for leading Revenue Cycle Services best practices initiatives targeting delivery of world class billing services, driving patient and customer commitment, and maximizing return through improved bad debt, cash realization and cost efficiencies. This leader will have direct accountability for operational excellence and work with hospital Executive Leadership and internal partners to deliver on performance commitments. The success depends on driving efficiency, effective partnership, influence, and collaboration across various functions of Optum Insight ensuring initiatives and strategy are targeting delivery of world class billing services, driving patient and customer commitment, and maximizing return through improved bad debt, cash realization and cost efficiencies.You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:Accountable for all aspects of client focused Acute & Ambulatory Revenue Cycle delivery, including, but not limited to driving delivery and execution against KPIs and Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.Assesses and understands operational and related business needs, while managing the full operations committed to Acute & Ambulatory Revenue Cycle performance objectives.Managing large, complex Acute & Ambulatory Revenue Cycle operations teams (the person in this specific role will be directly responsible for running the revenue cycle of a single large client operation with approximately 1,600 team members).Leads and contributes to strategy for further operational improvement realization, managing and developing scalable and high performing workforces, utilizing state of the art tools and technology.Fosters effective communication and builds relationships with Optum Client Executives and our Client/Partner's management teams.Drives positive NPS with clients.Bring world class results in Acute & Ambulatory Revenue Cycle client partners.Serves as an industry expert while they lead and sustain best practices and the Optum Operating Model for Acute & Ambulatory Revenue Cycle performance.Leads and manages operations teams by creating a collaborative, high performance work environment, continually addressing issues in operations and performance, and ensuring successful sustainable outcomes in the delivery of client/partner results.Ensures employee engagement and actively mentors & coaches team members.You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:10 + years of leadership experience in revenue cycle services.Demonstrated understanding of hospital revenue cycle operations in a multi-hospital environment.Acute & Ambulatory domain expertise.Experience with high volume revenue cycle operations.Strategic thinker with executive leadership and influencing skills.Experience negotiating, leading and communicating complex strategic business issues.Prior experience interfacing with the c-Suite.Prior experience leading a team of 1000+ people across distributed geographic regions.Demonstrated ability to drive organizational change and lead process improvement & automation initiatives.P&L management knowledge.Willingness & ability to travel up to 50% of the time (on a sustained basis).Preferred Qualifications:Knowledge of the State of MN rules & regulations related to hospital operations.Knowledge of union working environments.Experience leading global teams.Knowledge of the EPIC product.Advanced degree in related field (e.g., MBA, MHA, or equivalent).Experience in a senior client servicing role.*All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Washington, D.C. The salary range for this role is $188,000 to $357,600 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
