The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner, while also performing essential clerical duties.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare exam and treatment rooms, ensuring availability of necessary supplies.Assist patients in preparing for physician visits and examinations.Record vital signs and maintain accurate patient charts.Conduct EKGs, pulmonary function tests (PFT), audiometry, urine drug screens (UDS), and phlebotomy as required.Support billing procedures and maintain patient records.Utilize computer software for efficient office management.Ensure patient confidentiality and adapt care delivery to meet individual needs.Communicate effectively with patients and caregivers.Perform additional duties as assigned.Required Skills & ExperienceStrong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in computerized processes and data entry.EducationRequired:
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).Preferred:
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.Certifications & LicensureRequired:
AHA BLS (Basic Life Support).Certification options:
