Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking a dedicated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Cardiology team, focusing on pericardial disease and valvular disease. The Pericardial Disease Clinic continues to lead the way with the development of an international consortium and database to better understand the natural history, treatments, and global variations in pericardial diseases. The APP will play a key role in improving patient access, collaborating with physicians to see new and established patients, manage post-hospital follow-ups, and support patients enrolled in research trials. There will also be opportunities to care for patients with multivalvular disease. This role involves strategic collaboration between structural cardiology and pericardial disease practices, reflecting the clinic's commitment to Bold.Forward.Unbound vision and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manage care for patients with pericardial disease and valvular disease.* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.* Educate patients and their families on disease processes, management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.* Collaborate with cardiologists, research teams, cardiovascular interventionalists and cardiovascular surgeons for comprehensive care.
Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
Cardiology experience preferred, but not required.
