Responsibilities
Mayo Clinic Rochester is seeking a skilled and dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our Valve Clinic team. This position involves providing comprehensive care to patients with valve disorders, including those undergoing advanced valvular procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), MitraClip, tricuspid valve interventions and other innovative valvular procedures. The APP will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, managing patient care from initial evaluation through post-procedure follow-up.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and manage care for patients with valvular disease.* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions.* Educate patients and their families on disease processes, management strategies, lifestyle modifications, and medication adherence.* Collaborate with cardiologists, research teams, cardiovascular interventionalists and cardiovascular surgeons for comprehensive care.
Additionally, there will be numerous opportunities aligned with the Bold.Forward.Unbound strategies in the coming years, fostering growth and professional development within the practice.
Qualifications
Masters prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner. Current Minnesota RN license and certification as a FNP or ANP.
Or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and licensure as a PA by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
Must be eligible for DEA registration and billing privileges.
Cardiology experience preferred, but not required.
