POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary functions are to coordinate all aspects of the residence and ensure that client needs are met by actively assigning and overseeing residential living staff in their completion of duties and established unit routines.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Ensure adherence of staff to agency policy and procedures, union guidelines, and to standards, procedures and schedules established by the Program Supervisor and/or Unit DirectorProvide ad hoc supervision and programmatic decision makingPlan and implement community integration plans for consumersExercise sound judgment and good decision making appropriate to assignmentProvide all appropriate documentation set forth by DirectorInterface with families of residents other interested parties as neededEnsure a safe and clean living environment for residentsIntervene in crisis situations and facilitate as appropriateEnsure adequate staffingAttend appropriate in-service as directed by supervisorReport and provide feedback to Program Supervisors and Director regarding any issues affecting site operations, employee performance, individual care and programmingPerform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocolsPerform other duties as assigned and required

DIRECT REPORTS:
None; oversight of direct care staff on assigned shifts

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
:Minimum two years of post-secondary educationTwo years of experience in the field of Intellectual DisabilitiesMust be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocolsMust have current, valid driver's license in state of residence, 3 years driving experience, and acceptable driving recordDemonstrated basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and OutlookDemonstrated ability to adapt to change in workloadGood organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to independently problem solve in a creative mannerDemonstrated good oral and written communication skillsDemonstrated ability to work within a team environmentDemonstrated ability to perform duties in an independent manner with little or no need to direct supervisionMust possess the ability to work in a variety of environments and settings with flexible hours
