ANNOUNCEMENT
Southwestern Illinois College is accepting applications for Part-time LACE (Learning Assistance Center for Excellence) assistants for the Respiratory Care (RC) Program. LACE assistances are hired on an as-needed basis. Your application will be placed in a pool for review as LACE Assistant assignments become available.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
LACE Assistants in the RC Program are responsible for tutoring students in theory and application to assist students in developing competency in entry level skills a required of a graduate respiratory therapist. They support the assessment of student learning and report student progress to program coordinator and clinical coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS
* Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, holding a valid Registered Respiratory Therapy (RRT) credential and current Illinois state license.* Minimum of four (4) years' experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist with at least two (2) years in clinical respiratory care.* Have a minimum of two (2) years' experience teaching in an accredited respiratory care program either as an appointed faculty member or as a clinical preceptor.* Strong communication, organization, interpersonal, and counseling skills.* Knowledge in use of information technology.
STARTING PAY AND HOURS
$20.37 per hour, up to 9 hours per week
