DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:
Pioneer Square Downtown Programs are focused on serving Harborview Medical Center's mission populations. Our clinics sites are designated to serve adults who are homeless, vulnerably housed and low income, providing primary medical care by appointment or walk-in. All of our programs are located within the community to reduce barriers to care and help to establish a medical home that is easily accessible to our most vulnerable neighbors.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Bring your compassionate experience in taking care of people with comorbid conditions including people with substance use disorders, mental illnesses, and complex physical health conditions
Assume the accountability for a defined patient panel as well as providing urgent and walk in care to patients presenting at the clinic(s)
Function independently in a staff position to implement the role of expert practitioner, consultant, and educator in the specialized area of caring for unhoused and vulnerably housed patients
Possess and exhibit a high degree of knowledge, skill and competence in the provision of health care to the patient, family or community
Perform within the scope of licensure and in accordance with clinic, hospital and university policies/standards
REQUIREMENTS:
Nurse Practitioner:
Master's Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing
AND Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges
AND National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
AND ACLS certification
OR
Physician Assistant:
Licensure as a Physician's Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA).
Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions
