Position: Lead Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) Analyst – Automotive & Energy Business UnitsGeneral SummaryThe Automotive & Energy Finance team is recruiting for a Lead FP&A Analyst based out of our Headquarters located in Wilmington, MA. Analog Devices Automotive & Energy BUs generate roughly $3B in sales on an annual basis. The Lead FP&A Analyst will provide strong analytical-based decision and reporting support to the ACE & AES BUs. In this role, the individual will be critical in the quarterly projection cycle, and the annual operating plan and the 5 year strategic planning process, acting as Finance’s primary point of contact for revenue related activities.
Qualifications
Must perform a variety of financial functions including, but not limited to, planning, budgeting, complex financial analysis, and business modeling.
Must be a self-starter who can deal with ambiguous situations.
Able to effectively communicate and collaborate with executive leadership in both oral and written formats.
Must be comfortable dealing with multiple agendas and driving decisions through influencing without authority.
Effectively partner with cross functional teams and manage concurrent project timelines with the ability to prioritize accordingly.
Exceptional data analysis and financial modeling capabilities with a strong understanding of core financial concepts and working knowledge of GAAP.
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities including prior scalable financial modeling.
Ability to take on critical projects, as well as lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Provide strong analytical-based decision and reporting support to the Automotive & Energy BU teams.
Act as Finance’s primary point of contact for revenue related activities including quarterly projections, setting BMP and 5 year strategic growth plans, as well as APN, discounts, reserves and rebate accounting.
Assist in creating the full P&L for ACE and AES BUs, working hand in hand with the Business Operations and Marketing leads within the Business Units and also cross-functionally with Corporate FP&A, Global Operations & Test, HR and other various teams within ADI.
Provide recommendations and advise the cross functional teams of financial implications to consider while highlighting key performance indicators.
Analyze and explain business drivers for the results, offering recommendations for the upcoming projection cycle.
Provide analytical insight regarding financial results, highlighting risks, opportunities, or trends that could impact projections.
Drive standardization and simplification throughout the BUs workflows and reporting needs.
Reporting spans from quarterly reports to the creation of presentations for leadership level audiences.
Act as a partner to the ACE and AES leadership teams in assisting in M&A opportunities, multiple scenario planning, presentation creation and ad-hoc requests.
Minimum Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum 6 years professional related experience.
Skilled in near term and longer-range P&L budgeting and forecasting techniques and processes.
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities including prior scalable financial modeling.
Ability to take on critical projects, as well as lead multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
Knowledge of SAP preferred.
Knowledge of business intelligence tools (Qlikview, PowerBI, Tableau) preferred.
