Technology and Data Transactions Attorney
to join a prominent law firm’s Data Strategy, Security & Privacy team. This associate will work primarily on complex technology and data transactions, such as software licensing, cloud computing, and master service agreements across industries like healthcare, retail, fintech, and real estate. The role also includes advising on technology-related aspects of M&A, financings, and other corporate transactions.Responsibilities
Draft and negotiate diverse tech-related contracts, including software development, licensing, cloud services, joint development, and reseller agreements.Support multidisciplinary transactions with focus on due diligence for M&A, financings, and terms concerning IP ownership, software integration, and open-source software.Provide guidance on privacy and cybersecurity clauses, ensuring compliance with privacy laws such as CCPA and GDPR.Ideal Candidate Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house environment, with expertise in technology and IP commercial contracts.Strong background in privacy law and contract provisions for cybersecurity and data protection.Excellent analytical, drafting, and interpersonal communication skills to effectively manage client relations.A proactive, responsive approach to managing priorities and deadlines.Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community service or pro bono work.This opportunity is ideal for entrepreneurial, tech-driven associates with an interest in shaping a high-growth national practice group.
