A law firm is seeking a Government Contracts Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience in federal government contracts from a top-tier, in-house, or government law firm. The successful candidate must have an outstanding academic record, strong interpersonal skills, and a demonstrated track record of working in a fast-paced environment.Job Overview:
The Government Contracts Associate Attorney will provide legal counsel and support to clients involved in government contracting matters. This role requires a deep understanding of federal regulations, bid protests, contract disputes, compliance investigations, and M&A transactions within the government contracts space.Duties:
Provide legal advice and guidance on federal government contracts, including compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).Represent clients in bid protests before the Government Accountability Office (GAO) and U.S. Court of Federal Claims.Litigate claims under the Contract Disputes Act (CDA) on behalf of clients.Conduct internal investigations related to compliance, internal controls, and procurement fraud.Conduct due diligence in support of M&A transactions involving government contracts.Requirements:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.3-6 years of experience in government contracts law from a reputable law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency.Strong understanding of federal regulations, including the FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements.Proven track record of successful representation in bid protests, contract disputes, and compliance investigations.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.Education and Certifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Colorado State Bar or eligibility for admission via waiver.Skills:
Proficiency in legal research and writing.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Exceptional attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
