Associate Attorney - Litigation

Looking for an associate attorney with experience practicing civil litigation in California. The caseload shall consist primarily of employment defense and business litigation, along with some medical malpractice insurance defense cases. The attorney will independently maintain their caseload while procedurally advancing cases and prioritizing deadlines.Compensation & BenefitsBase Compensation : $150,000/yearAnnual Billable Requirement : 1850Benefits : Blue Shield health insurance PPO (Firm pays part of monthly copayment); legal malpractice insurance; sick and flexible vacation; approved CLE reimbursement; convenient parkingSchedule : 5 days/week; may work remotely up to 2 days/week if billables and appearances are covered.QualificationsExperience in civil litigation in CA state or federal court (preferably at least 3 years).Experience with mediations, depositions, motion practice, attending court appearances and oral arguments; reviewing/summarizing records; legal research; drafting of memos, pleadings, and letters; discovery; and case strategy.Self-starter, accountable, punctual, excellent communicator, team player, multi-tasker, hard-working, and creative.JD degree, admission to California Bar in good standing.Associate’s work shall be performed under the general guidance of supervising attorney(s).Pleasant and collaborative working environment.
