www.interaction.org .Position DescriptionInterAction seeks a dynamic Membership and Public Engagement Associate to support our membership engagement and growth initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing relationships with current and prospective members, managing our membership database, supporting various membership-related projects and events, and leading content development for key Member CEO events.Position TypeFull-timeThis is a full-time position based in Washington D.C. InterAction maintains a hybrid work environment and employees are eligible to telework three days a week and required to work in the office two days a week. There is an expectation that employees will be based in the Washington D.C. region.Essential FunctionsProspective Member SupportRespond to general inquiries in membership mailbox and voicemail.Conduct background research on prospective members.Prepare briefing documents for industry events where prospective members will be present.Current Member SupportAssist the Membership team with data-related inquiries and projects, PowerPoint presentations, member-hosted webinars, and industry event preparation.Monitor social media to highlight current members; draft social media content for Communications team.Utilize Bill.com to upload and track invoices for payment.Take the lead on brainstorming and developing content for CEOs for the annual CEO Retreat and InterAction’s yearly Forum.Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality, relevant content for executive-level events.Database SupportUpdate records in the CRM, both individually and as part of targeted, strategic update projects.Maintain and create reports in SalesForce.Other DutiesPrepare and coordinate reports, projects, letters, memorandums, meetings, and other pertinent material to support the Vice President or Communications, Membership and Public Engagement.Coordinate travel arrangements and ticket purchases for the Membership and Public Engagement team.Scribe meeting notes and communicate action items for follow-up for the Membership and Public Engagement team.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree or relevant account management/coordination experience.One year of CRM experience; or combination of education and experience.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Excellent project management skills with great attention to detail.Strong work ethic and customer-service orientation.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Self-motivated individual who is also a team player.Dynamic problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Exceptional organizational and time management skills.Preferred QualificationsDirect experience with trade associations, nonprofits, membership or related organizations is highly desirable.Two years of CRM experience.Knowledge of, experience in, and/or interest in the international development and humanitarian sector.Experience in developing and delivering educational content for senior executives.Familiarity with current trends and issues in the NGO sector.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThe position does not supervise employees.CompensationSalary range $45,000 – $52,000 per year, commensurate with skills and experience.InterAction offers three CareFirst medical insurance plans and an excellent benefits package. Available plans include an HMO, Point of Service, and PPO option.
