We invest in our employees and build relationships that last.Responsibilities include:Serving as the project manager and technical lead for roadways, bridges, trails, and related infrastructure projectsReviewing and leading proposals including scope, fees, and schedulesOverseeing budgets and schedules for various size projectsDeveloping and maintaining client contactsMentoring junior staffLeading QA/QC reviewsAttending client meetingsForecasting workload for projects and resource planningDeveloping design and construction plans, design reports, specifications, and cost estimatesAcquiring necessary construction permitsAssisting with contract administrationTravel will be required as needed.#LI-CC1The successful candidate will have all of the following:Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil engineering from an accredited universityAt least 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years being at the project management level; anda PE license in any state with the ability to obtain in MD, DC, and VA within 6 months of start dateThe ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:Knowledge of MDOT, DDOT or VDOT and local design guidelines and manualsWell versed in drainage design modeling to include cross sections along with grading, storm drain & utilities.Experience in Drainage, Storm water Management and Erosion and Sediment Control designs and calculationsUnderstanding of bridge hydraulics and flood plain analysisExperience with the software programs: MicroStation or Autocad, TR-20, TR-55, HY-8, HecRasExperienced with report writing as relates to transportation projectsKnowledge of MDE, DOEE or VPDES permit requirementsExperience preparing cost estimates and construction specifications or special provisionsExperience in Mid-Atlantic Area to include MD, DC or VA and local governmentsExperience in coordination with various design disciplines, utility coordination and project stakeholdersWhy Mead & Hunt?Strong Company CultureRobust Career Advancement, Training, & Growth OpportunitiesEmployee-Owned FirmFlexible SchedulesDiverse Skillsets, One CompanyImpressive Benefits PackageMead & Hunt proudly offers medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, paid sick leave, parental leave, a 401K plan with a generous company match, life and disability insurance, and an employee assistance program.Salary Range: $105,000 - $143,000.
