A leading law firm specializing in Lemon Law and consumer protection litigation is seeking a Mid-Level Associate Attorney for its Newport Beach, California office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to represent consumers in litigation against car manufacturers and dealerships. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in consumer protection law, a minimum of three years of litigation experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working in a fast-paced environment.Location:
Newport Beach, CADuties:
Draft discovery requests and responses.Review document productions and conduct e-discovery.Draft motions related to discovery disputes and pleadings.Prepare oppositions to summary adjudication and other motions.Participate in oral arguments in courtrooms for various legal matters, including case management and summary judgment.Prepare and defend clients in depositions.Depose percipient witnesses and corporate representatives.Assist with expert depositions and vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.Ensure timely reporting and billing of hours worked.Assist with additional tasks as directed by partners.Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of litigation experience as a California-licensed attorney.Strong interest in consumer protection law.Ability to manage multiple caseloads and prioritize tasks.Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, depositions, and vehicle inspections.Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds.Education:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:
Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.Skills:
