A distinguished law firm specializing in consumer protection and Lemon Law litigation is seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney. This role offers the opportunity to represent California consumers in litigation against automobile manufacturers and dealers. The position involves aggressive litigation, discovery, and trial preparation, with opportunities for mentorship and professional growth.Location:
Duties:
Draft discovery requests and responses.Review document productions and participate in e-discovery.Law & Motion:
Draft motions related to discovery disputes and responses to pleading challenges.Prepare and argue motions, including summary adjudication, case management, and ex parte requests.
Depositions:
Prepare clients for depositions and defend consumer depositions.Depose percipient witnesses, corporate representatives, and expert witnesses.
Vehicle Inspections:
Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses.
Other Responsibilities:
Report hours and billing promptly.Assist with additional tasks as directed by Partners.
Requirements:
At least 3 years of litigation experience as a California-licensed attorney.Ability to handle a high caseload and multiple stakeholders.Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions.Ability to lift or move up to 20 pounds.Education:
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Certifications:
Member in good standing with the California Bar.Skills:
Strong written and oral communication abilities.Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.Proficiency in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook.Collaborative mindset and adaptability in fast-paced environments.Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred but not required.Ability to work in a paperless environment and utilize technology solutions.
