Job Overview:A well-established law firm is seeking a Senior Labor & Employment Attorney with 9+ years of experience to join its municipal practice. This role involves providing legal counsel on a wide range of labor and employment matters, including arbitrations and administrative hearings. The ideal candidate will have strong advisory skills, experience mentoring junior associates, and the ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment.Location:

Provide practical legal advice and counsel to clients on labor and employment matters.Prepare for and attend arbitrations and administrative hearings, including cases before the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB).Review contracts, draft legal documents, and offer general legal counsel to municipal clients.Collaborate with a team of attorneys, while also working autonomously to manage cases.Mentor junior associates and contribute to their professional development.Handle additional municipal law matters such as public contracting, governance, or Public Records Act responses (optional).Requirements:
Minimum of 9 years of experience in labor and employment law.Strong ability to provide clear and practical legal advice.Experience with arbitrations, administrative hearings, and representing clients before PERB or similar bodies.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience mentoring and guiding junior associates.Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:
Admission to the California State Bar (required).Skills:
Expertise in labor and employment law, particularly in representing municipal or public sector clients.Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and work in a fast-paced environment.Familiarity with CalPERS rules and benefits is a plus but not required.Knowledge of additional municipal law areas such as public contracting or governance is advantageous.Benefits:
