A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Labor & Employment Attorney with a background in public agency law to join its Sacramento office. This role is suited for attorneys with 7+ years of experience who have a passion for advocating on behalf of public school districts and other public agencies across California. The position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of labor and employment matters, including collective bargaining, employment contracts, and handling cases of discrimination and misconduct.Location

Provide legal counsel on labor and employment matters for public school districts and other public agencies.Advise on hiring processes, drafting employment contracts, and managing issues related to collective bargaining.Represent clients in cases involving discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, layoffs, discipline, and dismissals.Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare documents for hearings and administrative proceedings.Manage cases involving administrative hearings and other legal proceedings as needed.Maintain strong client relationships and deliver legal strategies to public agencies and educational institutions.Requirements
Minimum of 7 years of experience in labor and employment law, with a preference for public agency or education law experience.Proven ability to conduct thorough legal research, analysis, and draft high-quality legal documents.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.A genuine interest in and commitment to advocating for public agencies and educational institutions.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills
