Provide legal guidance on Title IX investigations and compliance for public school districts and public agencies.Advise clients on labor and employment matters, including discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct cases.Handle administrative hearings and disciplinary proceedings as required.Collaborate with clients on issues related to employee hiring, contract negotiations, and collective bargaining.Conduct investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace misconduct.Develop and maintain client relationships with public agencies, ensuring effective communication and support.Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on Title IX or investigations preferred.Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.Interest in working with public agencies and educational institutions.Ability to manage complex cases and work independently or as part of a team.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills
In-depth knowledge of Title IX regulations and public agency employment law.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and case management abilities.Experience in administrative hearings is a plus.Benefits
