This role involves assisting public school districts and other public agencies with a wide range of education law matters, including administrative hearings, compliance, and litigation. The ideal candidate has 1-3 years of experience, with a focus on helping educational institutions meet procedural and substantive legal requirements.Location
Duties
Represent public school districts in administrative hearings and litigation.Advise clients on compliance with education law and regulations.Draft and review legal documents, policies, and contracts related to school district operations.Provide legal counsel on issues such as student rights, employment matters, and governance.Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategies that address legal issues in education.Support clients with guidance on transactional matters, as needed.Requirements
1-3 years of experience as a practicing attorney, preferably with a focus on education law.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Compassionate approach with a dedication to supporting public agencies and educational institutions.Education
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications
Active membership in the California State Bar.Skills
Familiarity with administrative hearings and education law compliance.Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.Experience with public agencies or school districts is a plus.Benefits
