Job Description Summary:
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will facilitate, plan and coordinate OhioHealth’s ACS Level 1 Trauma Reverification with the American College of Surgeons (ACS). This includes maintaining the trauma research portfolio, data analysis, conducting approved research activities and reporting ACS Reverification requirements to ensure they are met for the Trauma Research Program.
The Sr. Consultant for Trauma Research will serve as a liaison between OhioHealth’s trauma program and OhioHealth Research Institute to lead approved multidisciplinary, internally and externally sponsored research. The Sr. Consultant will ensure protocol activities are conducted in compliance with OHRI SOPs, state, federal, and institutional policies. This includes assisting with literature reviews for investigators, data extraction, data analysis, data governance, supporting protocol development in concert with investigators, preparing funding applications, coordinating patient activities as needed, coordinating ACS site visits, and assisting with dissemination of research results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree: Health Administration
Prior experience with academic research or scholarly activity.
Knowledge of trends, issues, and resources in medical/surgical research.
Experience preparing scientific research manuscripts for scientific journals.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Computer skills with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
