This role involves working on patent matters across a range of disciplines, including mechanical and biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, and material science. The ideal candidate will have industry experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to handle patent-related tasks independently.Location

Conduct prior art database searches for patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.Analyze patent and scientific documents to support patent prosecution, counseling, and litigation.Draft patent applications and responses to office actions.Collaborate with patent attorneys to manage patent portfolios and provide strategic patent advice.Requirements
At least one year of law firm experience.Industry experience and knowledge in chemical engineering or material science.Broad technical understanding of mechanical and/or biomedical engineering.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.Education
Degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, bioelectrical engineering, or a related field.Advanced degree preferred.Certifications
Registered as a US patent agent or eligible to sit for the USPTO registration exam.Skills
Excellent technical, analytical, and research skills.Ability to interpret scientific documents and patent literature.Strong initiative and quick learning abilities.Collaborative mindset with the ability to work well within a team environment.
