A law firm seeks a talented Patent Agent or Associate with at least three years of patent counseling experience, including preparation and prosecution expertise. This position is based in Palo Alto, CA, within a distinguished Intellectual Property Department focusing on Chemical, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical practices.Duties:Draft and prosecute domestic and international patent applications.Provide legal opinions related to biotechnology and similar technologies.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis in the field of patent law.Collaborate with teams to identify and protect intellectual property assets.Maintain meticulous records of all patent-related activities.Requirements:Over three years of experience in patent counseling and prosecution.Proven ability to draft patent applications and legal opinions effectively.Education:PhD in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) or a related discipline.Certifications:Current registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).Skills:Strong legal writing and research skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.High analytical and problem-solving skills.Top-tier academic credentials, ideally with prior law firm experience.Capability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
