SUMMARY OF POSITION Under direct supervision of the Recreation Center Supervisor, drives the Citys 14 Passenger Bus, or 26 Passenger bus, or 32 Passenger Trolley Bus or Golf Cart to transport participants of all ages to and from the Citys recreation facilities, its parking lot, and to off-site activities.

Essential Functions/Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Drives the City busses or golf cart to transport participants to offsite activities.Drives the City busses, or golf cart to pick up and deliver supplies.Assists passengers with loading and unloading at all times.Responsible for safely securing mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers.Performs preventative maintenance by checking and refilling all fluid and fuel levels.Reports necessary maintenance and repair needs to supervisor or Fleet Manager as needed.Maintains records of passengers, mileage, gasoline, destination addresses and purpose of trip.Cleans and maintains the golf cart and busses to assure safe operating conditions prior to and after each use.Complies with all written City policies and procedures.Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in City and department attendance policies and procedures.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any work related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the below Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the below specified education and experience requirements.
High School diploma or G.E.D.,andsix (6) months, bus or transportation vehicle drivingorequivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess current CPR and First Aid certifications.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must pass a drug screen, background check, and driving record.Must possess and maintain a valid State of Texas class A or B CDL Drivers License with passenger endorsement.
Physical Demands/Supplemental
PHYSICAL DEMANDS May be subject to occasional bending, reaching, kneeling and lifting such as assisting passengers getting in/out of the van, lifting and carrying supplies for pick up or delivery. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed by driving, operating, and maintaining a 14 Passenger Van and 32 Passenger Trolley. May be subject to exposure to air and water borne pathogens, body fluids, and infectious diseases when applying CPR, First Aid or cleaning the van and facilities. May be subject to exposure to extreme weather conditions and hazardous driving conditions.
