For more information, visit our website at www.kearfott.com.Position OverviewThe Director, Contract Administration is responsible for the strategic organization and execution of all Kearfott's customer contracts. This position will determine and implement contract strategy for a broad customer base, as well as play a key role in collaboration and activation of the overall business strategy.Essential FunctionsDevelop and implement department level strategy that supports overall business strategy.Directs the integration of multi-division contracts team into a single process and ERP system.Directs the quote submittal and price and term negotiation process with input from other stakeholders.Identifies strategic opportunities by reviewing all active customer relationships and RFPsDevelops negotiation standards and strategies for terms and conditions on new contracts.Develops company standards and ensures agreements such as NDA, Teaming, Consignment, Licensing, etc. align with those standards.Creates and monitors systems to ensure all purchase orders received by Kearfott are processed in compliance with company proceduresCreates and monitors system to ensure current agreements and performance criteria for both Kearfott and customers are in compliance with the agreement.Directs customer communication strategy regarding ongoing contracts, coordinates with Legal to provide responses to customer for complex contractual activity.Evaluate current tools, systems, processes, and procedures across both facilities with a bias for improving consistency, efficiency, and accuracyDevelops team by mentoring, coaching, and empowering. Advocates continuous learning. Provides ongoing opportunities for professional growth and development.Critical CompetenciesEnergetic and positive management style with a focus on employee development.Experience leading a multi-layered team.Knowledge and experience in working with the U.S. government as well as DOD prime contractors and in negotiating with various levels of Supplier Management.Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and ability to clearly explain those regulations to team and internal stakeholders.Process oriented with a demonstrated history of process improvement and continuous improvement achievements.Skilled in use of Microsoft Office products.Drive for results, action oriented, and high energy level.Excellent oral and written communication skills up to executive levels.Ability to travel up to 35% as needed.Education & ExperienceBS or BA8-10 years progressive contract administration experience required.Previous experience managing others required.Knowledge of U.S. Government contracting procedures, including FAR, DFAR and Uniform Commercial Code regulations required.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., visa sponsorship not available.Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance in the future.Preferred:MS/MA or MBAExperience with complex electronic systems or equivalent aerospace and defense experience.At least 7 years' experience with US government contracting.
