We make the world safer - and you can, too.What You'll Do in This PositionDesign, develop, coordinate, and implement effective training methods to provide employees with the technical knowledge and skill required to perform their jobs safely and competently. May act in a lead capacity for a limited subject area. Has significant involvement with identification of need for a training program. Responsible for managing elements of accountability for training results at a higher level than simple skill acquisition. May act as a Subcontract Technical Representative coordinating all efforts of subcontracted personnel including budgeting, man hour accounting, and overseeing work accomplishment. May have input in the budgeting process for a particular training program. May also act in a lead roll in the administration of a training program.
Present lectures, demonstrations, and the coordination of on the job training. Direct classroom experiments and practical exercises. Assist trainees with using interactive training tools. Supply alternate and ancillary resources and references as needed. Monitor and promote trainee achievement of lesson and course objectives. Administer oral, written, and job performance measure examinations, evaluating results. Identify trainee deficiencies and direct corrective action. Write course terminal and enabling objectives based on analysis date obtained. Analyze, review, assess, and extract relevant training content material. Develop lesson plan s designed to enable trainees to meet terminal and enabling objectives. Such plans will address differing target audiences, use a variety of media, and provide varied learning experiences. Design and coordinate production of supporting media. Produce training materials which includes manuals, lessons, plans trainee guides, exams, and job performance measures. Assess and revise training materials as changes in policy, procedures, regulations, and requirements occur. Validate and asses exam questions based on trainee performance and feedback. Coordinate scheduling of classes, resources, and monitoring of attendance. Develop program design in conjunction with task to training matrix. Review job, task, and needs analysis data for applicable discipline. May act as Subcontract Technical Representative. May act as training program budget coordinator. May act as training program administrator. Develop, implement and issue of Operating Experienc Program (OEP)/Lessons Learned training materials. Perform instructional review of training materials.
Security Clearance InformationSRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. May cross fields.Qualification as a instructor in accordance with the 4-B Manual.
