We make the world safer - and you can, too.What You'll Do in This PositionUnder direct supervision, using approved training materials, delivers classroom and on-the-job training to provide employees with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform their jobs safely and competently. Performs training administration in support of training functions. Evaluates trainee performance and provide training remediation, as necessary. May assist in revising or developing of training materials.* Complete requirements for a qualified Instructor in accordance with Manual 4B, Training and Qualification.* Perform classroom preparation to include: verification of classroom training materials, printing rosters and classroom materials (handouts, student guide, etc.)* Use basic instructor skills to present instruction and conduct on-the-job training.* Discuss Operating Experiences/Lessons Learned in training presentations.* Assist trainees with using interactive training tools.* Monitor and promote trainee achievement of learning objectives.* Conduct trainee evaluation and remediation.* Maintain accurate records and files in support of training (i.e., rosters, examinations, transmittals).* Perform evaluation of training effectiveness by conducting end-of-course evaluations and compiling exam results data.* Provide feedback to course developers for revisions of training materials.* Remain current in field(s) of expertise and continually enhance technical knowledge and skills.* May assist in the conduct of training analysis, design, and development in a learning capacity.* May respond to audit and surveillance reports (internal and external) on training activities. May develop responses/corrective actions (STAR) to findings and track these items to closure in a timely manner.* Perform other duties related to training, as assigned.Security Clearance InformationSRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance.
