This National Guard position is for a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST (Title 32), Position Description Number

and is part of the OK 137th Special Operations Wing, Air National Guard.

E-1 through E-7

GENERAL EXPERIENCEAll Series GS-0080 personnel must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. Each applicant must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade for one of the seven organizational program disciplines and its applicable Security Series career level. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures. Applicants must demonstrate the ability or have endorsements that indicate the ability to learn and perform the cited position's duties.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCEKnowledgeable on the management and administration of the Intrusion Detection System program. Experienced in advising supervisors of any base or site activities that may impact the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems program. Skilled in completing reports and documenting the Intrusion Detection System program maintenance requirements to the servicing maintenance organization. Experienced in monitoring Intrusion Detection System false and nuisance alarms and knowledgeable on how to request assistance from the maintenance organization to resolve problems and deficiencies. Competent in managing and administering the physical access control systems. Has the working knowledge of entry control points and related applications associated with the Integrated Base Defense Security Systems and the Air Force Justice Information System (AFJIS). Experienced in performing administrative office support functions and developing, coordinating, and publishing all Security Forces' installation level publications to include the Installation Security Plan, the Installation Security Instruction, and Security Forces annexes to all installation plans.
