A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney licensed in Utah with a focus on workers' compensation defense and civil litigation. The successful candidate will manage a caseload independently, provide legal guidance to clients, and represent them in various legal proceedings. This position offers flexibility with remote, in-office, or hybrid options, and the attorney will be part of a collaborative team environment committed to delivering high-quality client service and results.Duties
Manage cases independently, from inception to resolutionPrepare for trials, attend hearings, and support post-trial motions and appealsOffer general litigation support to partners and associatesMaintain direct client interaction, ensuring professional and ethical communicationAdvise clients on a broad range of workers' compensation and related legal issuesRepresent clients in court proceedings and hearingsDevelop, strategize, and negotiate case settlements on behalf of clientsRequirements
Residence : Must reside in Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, or MontanaExperience : 2-5 years in civil litigation, particularly workers' compensation or general liability defenseEducation
Degree : Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law schoolCertifications
Bar Admission : Active membership in the Utah State BarSkills
Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case analysisStrong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skillsReliable, self-motivated, and able to work effectively both independently and within a teamFamiliarity with case management software is a plus
