Job Description:As an Insurance Defense Attorney at our firm, you will be responsible for managing a diverse caseload, providing strategic legal counsel, and representing clients in insurance defense litigation matters. You will handle cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, engaging in motion practice, and representing clients at depositions, hearings, and trials.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend clients in insurance-related litigation, including personal injury, property damage, and commercial liability matters.
Manage cases from start to finish, including investigating claims, drafting legal documents, and developing defense strategies.
Engage in pre-trial discovery, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
Represent clients at hearings, motions, mediations, and trials.
Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to develop case strategies.
Stay up-to-date on legal trends and changes in insurance law.
Maintain client relationships and provide regular case updates.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience
practicing law, with a focus on insurance defense, personal injury, or commercial litigation.
Strong knowledge of insurance law and litigation procedures.
Proven experience with depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Licensed to practice law in
Kentucky
(or eligible for admission).
