We are currently looking for a

Director of Sales and Marketing

to join our team in Romulus, MI. The

Director of Sales and Marketing

manages and oversees the sales and marketing operations for ACTIA. Main duties include development of new business, designing plans to meet sales targets, developing and cultivating relationships with customers and evaluating costs to determine products' pricing.

Job Specific Competencies:

Business and Account Development:

Develops and manages new business development operating budget.

Establishes strategic business plans to achieve corporate objectives.

Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities.

Plans and oversees advertising and promotion activities.

Monitors competitive products and marketing activities.

Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts.

Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and strategic partners.

Sales and Marketing Management:

Manages and supervises business development managers.

Oversees development and production of promotional and collateral materials.

Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy.

Ensures effective control of marketing results.

Takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets.

Collaboration:

Serves as liaison with outside agencies and headquarters on promotional campaigns.

Collaborates with all internal departments.

Legal Compliance:

Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements.

Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering; a business degree would be a plus.

Five years of marketing/sales experience.

Automotive knowledge is preferred.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to travel extensively both domestic and internationally.

Working Conditions:

This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office and on the production floor.

Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.

This position frequently communicates with co-workers, managers, and supervisors.

This position frequently lifts or moves 25 pounds, occasionally moves up to 50 pounds.

Occasional travel to customers and vendors, with overnight stays, may be required.
