Netflix is one of the world’s leading entertainment services with 278 million paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, films, and games across a wide variety of genres and languages. Members can play, pause and resume watching as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, and can change their plans at any time.

The Role

One of the primary levers for growth is developing new plans, with differentiated features and price points, so consumers can choose what is right for them.

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, building, and iterating new business models and plans.

This role is based in our Los Gatos office (preferred) in a hybrid model, but we are open to remote candidates who are on the West Coast (PST timezone). Travel to Los Gatos will be required if remote-based.

As a Product Manager, you will be expected to design, strategize, execute, and prioritize projects. You should be comfortable at the hub of a fast-paced environment where you interface daily with cross-functional experts. You can build consensus and alignment but are not afraid to push ahead when there remain some critics and lead in the face of ambiguity.

What will you do:

Oversee the end-to-end product development of new business models, including a comprehensive product and consumer strategy from inception to launch.

Take product concepts from ideation through validation, shipping, measurement, and iteration.

Partner with cross-functional leaders to articulate a compelling product vision, break down the vision into well-scoped projects, and drive execution.

Author strategy memos and presentations and represent your team’s work to senior executives. Ensure that the broader organization is clear about our product strategy and roadmap, and effectively farm for dissent.

Build business cases and measure the impact of your product innovation, with your finance, strategy, and data science partners.

Deeply understand and socialize the evolving needs of our customers, with your consumer insights and design partners.

Work closely with the other product teams, e.g. growth lifecycle, member experience, to determine shared and unique use cases and ensure member needs are addressed holistically and cohesively.

Work as part of an autonomous agile team along with designers, engineers, consumer insights, and data science, ML & analytics colleagues to deliver outstanding products to our customers.

Foster an inclusive environment, where all viewpoints are welcomed and encouraged.

Who are we looking for

Passion for Growth, Product, Pricing, and/or Behavioral Economics! Exposure to the entertainment industry or related products and solutions in the past is a huge plus.

7+ years product management experience with a proven record of prioritizing and successfully launching impactful products or platforms.

Worked in a direct-to-consumer business, preferably with global scope where the consumer is paying for the service.

Demonstrated leadership working effectively with designers, data scientists, engineers, researchers, and colleagues across content, communications, and marketing. The ability to inspire, motivate and lead a cross-functional team.

Very high attention to detail, with an ability to connect the smallest experience elements to the big picture goals at the company and team level.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills - An ability to synthesize the complex into the simple and persuasive, and tell compelling stories with data.

Comfortable using data to inform priorities and evaluate impact of initiatives.

Has strong instincts for outstanding customer experience.

Experience working in an organizational structure with both vertical and horizontal teams where ownership of a capability cuts across multiple teams.
