Salary: $800 -$1,311 Bi-weekly (Dependent on Qualifications)

ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: Non-Rotating forty (40) hour work week, Monday through Thursday.
Concrete Laborer: 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Required to work overtime as needed for operational needs and during emergency situations.
Responsibilities
Sweeps loose gravel, shovels hot mix, cuts grass, clean equipment and tools. Draw liquid asphalt oil from supply tank to use with hot mix asphalt. Shovel hot mix asphalt from spreader box to area being repaired. Work behind asphalt chip spreader to smooth out material overlap. Perform traffic control tasks such as setting out barricades and safety cones in street maintenance operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Position requires High school diploma or GED and no previous experience. Ability to read and understand written instructions, to understand simple processes and the routine operation of machines is required. A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire.

Application review and the City may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

Selected applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and a pre-employment drug test.
Any position that lists a minimum qualification for education level and/or license/certification will require the applicant to provide proof of documentation if selected for hire into the position with the City of Corpus Christi.
