Overview and ResponsibilitiesThe ClientGroup consists of media/content brands in the scripted and unscripted entertainment space, including MTV, Comedy Central, TV Land, client Network, Smithsonian, Showtime, and client. The Strategic Research and Insights Department is responsible for developing a deep understanding of audiences' attitudes and behaviors with our content, as well as general viewing trends, to inform the organization's strategic decision-making.
Within this broader Research department sits the Unscripted Content Insights team, the ideal candidate is a Media Research professional with a knowledge of/passion for media, entertainment, and consumer insight. The PBE Senior Manager role will focus on conducting research and developing audience insights through a variety of qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Reporting into a Vice President, the PBE Senior Manager will assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of research to inform Development, Existing Series, Marketing, Programming, Press, and Social Media strategy for unscripted content within the ClientGroup. You will primarily work on research projects across linear and streaming platforms.
Specific Responsibilities
Help conduct proprietary quantitative and qualitative studies focused on targeted audience needs (e.g. monitoring the health of key unscripted series within the CLIENT family, informing future season development/marketing, concept/pilot testing new ideas, consumer deep-dives)Collaborate with internal teams to assess show performance and/or potentialEffectively handle external vendors by monitoring key timelines and details, including recruitment of respondents, development of research instruments, analysis of data, and delivery of a report with relevant findingsssist with managing the CLIENT online consumer community to drive rich insight for CLIENT
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS degree in related fieldt least 5-6+ years of experience in related research field (e.g., Marketing, Analytics, Creative, or Content Research) in the Entertainment/Media industryExperience in designing, executing, and analyzing qualitative research, including screener development, discussion guide development, analysis, and reportingExperience in quantitative research, including survey design, question writing, sample design, and analysisFamiliarity and/or proficiency with ratings data, social listening tools, and/or secondary data resources (YouGov, YPulse, GWI, Gartner, etc.)
