Job Description:The MDFT Clinician provides in person intensive treatment services to families including but not limited to crisis intervention, parent guidance and education, advocacy and linkages to other services in neighborhood schools and communities. This individual will identify strengths and challenges of the adolescent, the family, and their transactions with extra familial systems. In addition, the Therapist will emphasize promoting behavior change in the youth’s natural environment. They will work with families and adolescents in their home environment 2-3 times per week conducting Clinical sessions with youth, parent and family. Therapist will complete all agency documentation such as assessments and weekly progress notes.
2-3 Clinical sessions per week including parent, family & individual sessions
Clinicians will meet with families based on model/MDFT expectations for Clinical sessions.
Initiate face-to-face contact with each family within 48 hours from the time referral is assigned by supervisorProvide comprehensive MDFT treatment to each family that is individualized and goal orientedCollaborate with the family in developing an enduring social support network in the natural environmentSubmit weekly written progress report to the referral sourceWork with MDFT Therapist Assistant/Case Coordinator to institute community support systemComplete all required MDFT documentationPerform all required training, consultation and evaluation as outlined in MDFT
Qualifications & Requirements::
Master’s Degree in Social Work or related behavioral science -
RequiredReceipt of provisional license (LMSW, LPC-A, LMFT-A, LCSW, LPC, or LMFT) -
RequiredSkilled in therapeutic interventions, advocacy, and crisis interventionAbility to function independentlyPersonal Effectiveness/CredibilityCommunication Proficiency
Schedule & Rate of Pay:
Full-Time 35 hours per weekMonday - Friday flexible hours$55,000 per year
