GIS Staff Analyst

The GIS Staff Analyst is responsible for providing support to the pipeline regulatory compliance team, within Marketing-Midstream, and others as needed by digitizing, analyzing, and storing pipeline and facilities data in the form of shapefiles and geodatabase files. The position is also responsible for assisting and implementing GIS workflow procedures. Other duties may include, but are not limited to, building map exhibits for various individuals within EOG as it pertains to special projects, complying and analyzing data for annual reporting to Federal/State agencies, reviewing pipeline permit data, analyzing integrity management data, performing vapor dispersion, spill plume analysis, geohazard analysis, class location and unusual sensitive area analysis.
Job Requirements
5-year experience working in GIS; oil & gas pipeline regulatory compliance experience preferred5-year experience utilizing ArcGISFamiliar with shapefiles, geodatabases, and ArcSDEResearch new and existing GIS tools/technologyTroubleshoot problems with ArcGIS geoprocessing toolsAbility to take on and maintain workflows for multiple projects at any given timeAbility to interpret data and possess strong analytical skillsProduction of GIS graphics in both report and presentation formsProvide support/training to users within the organization regarding pipeline regulatory compliance data, both new construction and operating and maintenanceAbility to maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work activities.Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, specifically ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated with strong organizational skills, detailed oriented
