Construction Site Manager - Field Project

Position Summary:

This position will observe equipment installation, be available for installation clarification, deliver equipment procurement status, and have access to the Engineer of Record. Position will assist to coordinate shipments, inventory, track and document progress, document inspections, facilitate drawing redlines and revisions, RFIs, and support customer in Construction Management of on-site Contractors. Will work directly with Field Project Engineer and assist in their responsibilities as required.

This position will support construction efforts on site at Plant Scherer in Juliette, GA.

Some of the work that you will do:

Travel to field installation site for the project’s duration to represent WesTech. Assist in compiling and tracking Construction Work Packages, following Advanced Work Package project execution philosophy. Supervise installation of equipment according to manufacturer's specifications. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet schedules. Study schedules to estimate time, cost, and labor needed for completion of job assignments. Consult with engineering personnel to resolve unusual problems in system operation and maintenance. Monitor work activities to inform management of project status. Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, quality and efficiency. Analyze and resolve work problems and/or assists contractors in solving work problems. Interface with Customer, Sub-contractors, site personnel, other contractors on site Work with Sub-contractors to maintain schedule Submit daily reports and track progress Control job costs, T&M, extra work, back charges Perform QA on tanks, mechanisms, other WesTech equipment. Inspect welds, coatings, dimensional and clearance checks. Sign off on inspections Troubleshoot fitment, electrical, drive issues with support from office Source parts for field-repairs: find, qualify, and work with local vendors & shops. Source local labor as needed. Inventory and inspect parts as they are received on site. Coordinate with Project Manager for proper resourcing on projects Perform start up and operator training on WesTech equipment. Review and understand contract requirements, scope of work, Purchase Orders, specifications Create and manage job schedule Complete project specific documentation Review drawings, parts lists, O&M Provide input on designs based on lessons learned Understand and comply with ISO procedures Understand project calculations Review contract or purchase order terms and be able to negotiate them successfully with customers May supervise workers in testing and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum operating performance. May advise management regarding customer satisfaction, product performance, and suggestions for product improvements. May mentor other employees. Other duties as assigned. Travel

Expected domestic and/or international travel up to 90% Here are the skills that you need:

Education: High School graduate or equivalent At least 3-5 years’ directly related experience in construction Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards. Understanding of all facets of the construction process Ability to plan and see the “big picture” Competent in conflict and crisis management Ability to pass a background, medical, drug, and/or other related screenings, as required by specific client locations. Ability to obtain and maintain necessary credentials, e.g. passport, visas, to complete international travel. Ability to work a varied schedule. Expected 5-10’s base schedule. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Excellent communication and customer service skills Organizational and time management skills Valid driver’s license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record Must be able to rent a vehicle as needed. Computer skills: MS Office Able to interpret fabrication and erection drawings Minimum Certifications:

MSHA OSHA 30 Basic Plus TWIC WHMIS (Canada) Site specific trainings per project Safety certifications Here are the skills that will set you apart:

BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field Experience in servicing WesTech Engineering Equipment or related servicing experience of clarifiers, drive unit, and filters. Familiarity with construction management software packages Experience with AutoCAD Shop or field experience in layout, welding, and fabrication Excellent time and project management skills Preferred Certifications

CWI NACE Level II or III ASME Professional Engineer Physical Requirements

Use power tools, hand-held tools, diagnostic and measuring devices. Some lifting may be required (50-70 lbs.) Inspections (standing, bending, stooping, climbing ladders, catwalks (may involve heights) Exposure to elements: cold, heat, wet, and/or dark. Driving for extended periods Operating equipment Climbing/balancing Stooping/crawling Wear PPE Fit test for respirator for some sites May be required to be clean-shaven for some sites Benefits and perks we offer:
