We are currently looking for a
full-time Resident Transportation Driver to work
within our senior living community at The Wesleyan. As a Resident Transportation Driver at The Wesleyan, you will be vital to supporting our residents in maintaining an active, engaging, and thriving lifestyle by safely transporting them to and from medical appointments, service appointments, grocery stores and other shopping destinations, various community activities, church services and other activities throughout the local geographical area.

***A valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with a 30+ Passenger Endorsement is required for this position as the CDL Driver for The Wesleyan is responsible for the bus transport of large groups to various local outings and activities. ***
Essential Job Functions:Responsible for operation/user maintenance on vehicles and supplies within the area of responsibility.Report transport vehicle malfunctions or needed repairs.Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation issues using telephone.Perform transportation checklist prior to each transport including checking tires, brakes, windshield wipers, lights, oil, fuel, water and safety equipment to assure all is working appropriately.Complete daily vehicle and bus inspection sheet upon use of bus per state law requirements.Assist in routine preventive maintenance of all vehicles as directed.Comply with traffic regulations in order to operate vehicle in a safe and courteous manner.Follow safety rules when loading and unloading residents.Pick up and drop off residents following time schedules.Interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner while providing consistent and exemplary transportation services.Regulate heating, lighting, and ventilation systems for resident comfort.Keep vehicle and bus interior clean for passengers.Maintain knowledge of first aide procedures and verbalize understanding of when to call 911 procedures.May require weekend and evening hours.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications & Experience:
Must have valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with 30+ Passenger Endorsement and current liability insurance with an acceptable driving record.Must be able to speak, read, and write English in order to communicate with all passengers and to follow all safety procedures, vehicle inspections, and other regulatory procedures.Must have excellent customer service and a service-minded approach to all aspects of the job.A passion for working within a senior living community is essential!Alignment with and enthusiasm about The Wesleyan's culture and core values.The Wesleyan is an Equal Opportunity Employer
