Every day we strive to make a difference in the quality of someone's life and we are looking for someone special like YOU to join us in making that difference and making it matter to the residents we serve!We are currently looking for a full-time Registered Nurse (RN) to work the 2:00PM-10:00PM shift within our Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation community at The Wesleyan. A current, active RN license in the state of Texas along with at least one year of experience in a skilled nursing community and a passion for providing exceptional clinical care to those in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation environment will be essential to your success as a RN at The Wesleyan.Join us and be a part of a mission and values-based organization where you can make a difference and make it matter in the lives of others simply by bringing your passion and purpose to the work you do every day!*** The shift schedule for this position is 2:00PM-10:00PM ***Essential Job Functions:Assists in implementing resident care policies and procedures.Assesses, evaluates, plans, and implements resident care plans and responds to resident needs.Provides skilled care according to the physician orders, policies and procedures and the nursing process.Administers or supervises the preparation and administration of prescribed medications and prescribed treatments.Supervises the serving of prescribed diets and fluid intake and report persistent unresolved problems to the physician and the Director of Nursing.Completes all routine charting documentation with accuracy and ensure that the individual nursing care plan is followed.Communicates with family members regarding any changes to the resident and in the event of a resident's transfer to a hospital or post-acute facility.Orders supplies and equipment, carries out instructions of supervisors, and observes departmental safety standards and regulations.Ensures monthly documentation and reviews of risk indicator reports with specific areas of infection control, incidents, skin concerns, and medication errors.Detects and corrects situations that have a high probability of causing accidents or injuries to residents.Provides nursing care relevant to condition and prescribed care as frequently as necessary to maintain quality of resident care.Completes minor housekeeping duties around the nursing unit.Assists nurse aides and other staff as neededCompletes other job duties and tasks as assigned by the Assistant Director of Nursing or Director of Nursing.Qualifications & Experience:Must have a current, active, and unencumbered Registered Nurse license issued by the State of Texas.A minimum of one year of nursing experience in geriatrics preferred.Ability to organize, plan, and direct nursing service and care.Ability to handle emergencies, give emergency care, and give emergency instructions.Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to cooperate with other departments and department leaders.Ability to maintain confidentiality in all resident and teammate mattes.Proficiency with computers and various computer applications including PointClickCare.A service-minded approach to all aspects of the job is required.A passion for working within a skilled nursing or long-term care community is a plus.Alignment with and enthusiasm about The Wesleyan's culture and core values.???????The Wesleyan is an Equal Opportunity EmployerBenefits:Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision Insurance401(k)
