Job Description
They are seeking an experienced and results-driven
Senior Director, Business Development CRO
to lead their West Coast operations. This key role will focus on expanding their client base, driving revenue growth, and fostering strong partnerships with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development within the life sciences sector, particularly in antibody discovery and development.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors on the West Coast.Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue growth and market expansion.Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and client needs to drive innovative service offerings.Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client objectives and aligning their services to meet their needs.Conduct presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals.Work closely with scientific teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment between client expectations and project execution.Provide client feedback to internal teams to drive service improvements and innovations.Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.Establish a robust network of industry contacts to promote the company's services.Track and report key business development metrics, including pipeline activity, revenue growth, and client satisfaction.Provide regular updates to senior leadership on business development initiatives and results.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant
The Senior Director, Business Development CRO will have:
Advanced degree in Life Sciences or a related field; Ph.D. preferred.Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the biotech, pharmaceutical, or CRO industry.Deep understanding of antibody discovery and preclinical services.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.Strong network within the West Coast biotech and pharmaceutical community.Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to travel as needed (up to 30-50%).What's on Offer
