Job Duties and Responsibilities
Own the accounting and management of fixed assets owned & leased for Oldcastle InfrastructureOversee/prepare and execute accurate and timely recording, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets transactions.Develop and maintain policies and procedures, in accordance with our parent company (CRH), related to fixed assets accounting.Monitor and review fixed asset registers and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.Coordinate physical audits and reconcile physical assets with accounting records.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review capital projects to ensure timely and proper capitalization of assets.Analyze and report on asset depreciation, impairment, transfers, and useful life.Work with CRH's internal and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely information is provided for examinations, SOX compliance and related financial projects.Provide guidance and support to accounting staff on fixed asset accounting principles.Research and implement best practices for fixed asset management.Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment in accordance SOX guidelines.Support CRH Americas tax requests for roll forward detail on a quarterly basis.Responsible for supporting CRH Risk Management with insurance requests (example: annual fixed asset valuation, vehicle listing by location, etc.)Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.5 + years experience in fixed asset accounting and 2+ years leading a team.Excellent communicator with history of synthesizing/communicating complex issues in a clear and concise manner.Strong attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.Continuous improvement mindset with a demonstrated history of implementing business process changes and driving innovation.Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles and regulations.SAP, HFM and or similar ERP system knowledge required.Mergers and Acquisitions experience a plusDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively across different teams and departments.What CRH Offers You
