Within Plastics & Composites, there are 3 business segments: Enclosures, PVC Pipe and Trench & Metals.
Job Summary
In this role, the Finance Director will oversee the finance functions for the Enclosure business, including core accounting and controls, strategic business partnership, forecasting, financial planning and analysis, revenue recognition, product costing, working capital management and associated analysis and reporting. The team works closely with IPG's corporate center finance team as well as our centralized shared services functions covering accounts payable and receivable.
The Finance Director will act as an advisor and business partner for the Enclosures leadership team by interpreting financial results relative to business strategy and making recommendations to improve EBITDA performance. They will evaluate and make improvements to accounting processes while ensuring that practices comply with organization accounting and internal control policies and applicable laws and regulations. They will also play a critical role in reviewing and evaluating acquisition and capital investment opportunities while also being responsible for the financial integration of new acquisitions (typically 1 - 2 per year).
This is a critical finance leadership role in a growing dynamic business undergoing significant change and investment. It provides the potential for career development in a large global organization.
Job Responsibilities
Direct and monitor all financial activity of the organizationDevelop and implement Enclosures budget plansImprove Financial Planning & Analysis capabilities and strategic usage of the analysis to drive EBITDA growth.Partner with senior leadership to support long-term capital allocation strategy and strategic financial decision makingResearch pricing, competitors' trends and factors affecting performanceProvide business modelling and risk assessmentsSupport ERP integration preparations in alignment with overall Infrastructure Products Group (IPG) systems strategy involving significant investment in a new ERP systemLead financial integration of the current team and new acquisitions with regards to organization restructuring initiatives and achieve synergies with Oldcastle Infrastructure and CRHIdentify trends, advise senior leadership, and recommend actions based on sound analysisImplement and monitor internal accounting policiesInternal control evaluation and implementation in a SOX environmentInternal and external audit managementDevelop and prepare annual, quarterly, monthly, and ad-hoc financial and metric reportsStreamline processes for efficiency and identify cost savings opportunitiesManage month-end and quarterly close and consolidation processParticipate in a range of group and divisional projects as requiredJob Requirements
BS/BA degree in finance or accounting; Advanced Degrees, CMA, CPA a plus10+ Years of relevant financial and management experienceManufacturing industry & cost accounting experienceExperience with data mining or planning applicationsExperience with modern financial systems (e.g. SAP and Oracle EPM)Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word, Dashboards and CRM) and attention to detail around producing high quality products and meeting deadlinesExcellent financial and business acumenIn-Depth understanding of key performance indices and their driversActive, effective communicator who drives a company vision/mission to align teams, critical resources, management, and stakeholders together with people leadership and development skillsBuild relationships with a range of stakeholders across the companyTravel - as required but expected to travel regularly to company sites and events to build business knowledge and key stakeholder relationshipsWhat CRH Offers You
