Primary Relationships: This position

will work with a variety of internal and external partners across Louisiana, the Gulf South and Nationally. Internally, the manager should expect to work closely with the Communications, Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) and Health Systems Research (HSR) teams on project development and implementation. Additionally, the manager will work with the organization's finance team and other shared services team as needed.

ABOUT THE POSITION

LPHI's Capacity Building and Technical Assistance Team is focused on increasing access to and quality of health services, information and research to support optimal health across the lifespan. We believe that all people deserve access to high-quality public health support, clinical services and community support services, and we work to create organizational and community conditions to achieve this through training and technical assistance, research, policy and advocacy, and clinical transformation through clinical quality improvement.

The Program Manager will be responsible for the successful planning and implementation of multiple projects on the capacity building team in collaboration with local, regional and national partners. The program manager will develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables and be responsible for project implementation and reporting. This position will coordinate and monitor activities of internal teams, external contractors, and engaged partners for assigned projects.

The Program Manager will be supervised by the Director, Capacity Building and Training & Technical Assistance and will work collaboratively with other teams within LPHI.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Administration

Supervise Program Coordinator(s) or intern(s) dependent on project needs and funding. Manage changes and recommendations for operational inputs on team, including staffing plans, budgets, and related. Prepare, proofread, and edit outgoing correspondence to both internal and external partners. Organize and facilitate meetings (i.e., create meeting agendas; facilitate meetings; identify action items/next steps; lead post-meeting debriefs, and follow-up to track action items; etc.). Monitors contracts with external vendors or partners as well as the overall project budget. Track project activities and progress and lead preparation of reports to funders and partners. Manage reporting requirements for assigned project activities. Project Management and Implementation

Develop and monitor project plans of varying sizes and degrees of complexity; work with teams to execute projects and product development, manage timelines, and ensure high quality deliverables to internal and external stakeholders. Track project activities and progress and fulfill reporting requirements for project milestones to partners and/or funders. Interact with other team members, including task oversight and delegation, to develop and execute work plans. Monitor project finances, including the development of project budgets, staffing allocations and financial projections and review budget recommendations and changes with supervisor on a consistent basis. In collaboration with supervisor, support contracting, and other administrative processes for the team. Manage relationships and collaborate with staff, consultants and subcontractors, other departments and both public/governmental and private external clients/customers. Create new tools and processes, where needed, to support successful project management. Manage project data and evaluation activities, including related progress reports to highlight milestones and results. Develop and/or curate technical assistance and educational resources that benefit the field; include conducting research, synthesizing information and developing materials tailored to specific audiences. Facilitate internal and external meetings, including communications, management and tracking of action items to advance team progress. Provide project mentorship to coordinators and interns. Present during webinars and meetings as needed. Business Development

Develop system-level approaches to coordinate efforts internally and among stakeholders. Seek proposal and business development activities, including but not limited to proactive review of posted opportunities, drafting letters of support, compiling supporting materials, populating templates, and reviewing drafts. Provide cross-organizational support and guidance for initiatives that intersect with Family Health Team special populations and content focus (e.g., youth, LGBTQ+, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health), including development of programming. Work across teams to identify and facilitate sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and tools. Manage relationships and collaborate with staff, consultants and subcontractors, other departments and both public/governmental and private external clients/customers to support continued project sustainability and development efforts. Additional Responsibilities

Develop, plan, and implement training and technical assistance to multi-sector partners based on best practices of health promotion. Support healthcare providers' implementation of new services by planning and facilitating practice coaching sessions. Lead and manage the preparation and dissemination of project-related communications such as reports to funders, interim and final reports to clients, stakeholders and/or the community, presentations, messaging to project partners, and LPHI newsletters and social media. In partnership with the Policy and Equity Team, engage stakeholders in policy and advocacy efforts that impact Family Health initiatives. Facilitate and assist in the development of coalitions funded by the Family Health Team. Attend and actively participate in team and LPHI-wide meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. ABOUT YOU

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in public health, social sciences, or related field required or a bachelor's degree plus equivalent experience. At least three (3) years' professional experience in public health or closely related content area. Strong project management experience. Experience working on public health or social determinants of health initiatives to advance state, local or national policies. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including but not limited to community-based organizations, healthcare organizations, and public health agencies Experience supervising individuals and/or leading teams. Experience using Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to travel up to 20% of the time. Desired Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
