Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Federal Business Development to drive the growth of our Federal business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business development, IT procurement, and contract negotiation within the VAR or IT solutions industry. This role is crucial in ensuring the further development of this key line of business.
Responsibilities:
Personally drive business development activity in and around the Beltway for AuroraDevelop a sales pipeline for professional services and substantially grow the revenue and profit of this line of businessEstablish a group of key US Federal accounts within Q1 of 2025Investigate opportunities for acquiring contract vehicles and subsequently drive the acquisition processCollaborate with sales to ensure product sales to key customersRequirements:
Ideally has experience working in a large defense contractor, and prefers a smaller more entrepreneurial environmentHas demonstrated a track record of career growth through promotionsHas a network of contract assistance partners such as WOSB, SDVOSB, SDB, HUBZone, 8(a)Is able to successfully navigate multi-stake holder partnerships including primes, teammates, resellers, vendorsExperienced taking a leadership role with proposal teamsProven experience in a sales role with demonstrated track record of landing new business and over-achieving on targetsExceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to solve problems, work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levelsSmart, intelligent, very aggressive with a high degree of ownership and driveBenefits:
