Job DescriptionRole: Operations/Manufacturing DirectorLocation: 25 miles North of Charleston Salary: $170-$200k Direct Hire Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee all manufacturing operations to ensure high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency are maintained across the company.Develop and implement strategic plans to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance operational performance.Work directly with executives to align manufacturing objectives with overall business goals and strategies.Foster a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring Lean manufacturing principles are adopted and sustained across all facilities.Oversee manufacturing engineering, ensuring all equipment, tooling, and processes are optimized for maximum efficiency and productivity.Drive operational excellence initiatives to streamline processes, improve output, and reduce costs across the production facilities.Establish and manage KPIs to monitor production performance, quality, and efficiency, using data to drive improvements.Collaborate with supply chain, engineering, and R&D teams to support new product development and ensure smooth production scaling.Implement robust safety programs and ensure all operations are compliant with regulatory standards, promoting a safe work environment.Lead and mentor a team of plant managers, production supervisors, and manufacturing engineers to meet production targets and deliver results.Develop capital investment plans for production equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and technological advancements.Manage budgeting and forecasting for the manufacturing division, ensuring cost control measures are effectively implemented.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.10+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in the aerospace, defense, or military manufacturing sector.Proven track record in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and driving operational excellence.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.Experience in managing large-scale production operations and driving strategic change in manufacturing processes.Deep knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other operational efficiency methodologies.
